Learning Support & Skills for Life
As well as outstanding facilities, we offer students a supportive, friendly environment.
Skills for Life, Literacy and Numeracy
Do you need to improve your reading, writting or maths skills? Would you like a qualification equivalent to GCSE maths and English? We have a range of sessions, with friendly, qualified staff to support you. It's totally free.
Deaf Awareness & Sign Language
Deaf people use sign language, British Sign Language (BSL), which has a different structure to English. It is not English on the hands. Finger-spelling is used to represent specific English words when needed. In BSL, the face, the body and the hands are all equally important.
Adult Learners Support
Literacy and numeracy skills are essential for a fulfilling life. Tackling adult literacy and numeracy skills is an important task. There is a growing demand for adult learners support teachers, as new initiatives to improve adult literacy and numeracy are constantly being developed.
Living in the Community
The Living in the Community course is designed for individuals over the age of 19 years who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The modules you will study including computers, DIY, sewing and cookery, are tailored to your individual needs.
