A welcome return for New College success story
Students got glimpse of what their future could hold when a former student returned to the College to share her success as a band manager and record label owner.
Kitty Hedley studied her HND in Music Management and her Degree in Management, Business and Administration at the College between 2000 and 2004, before going on to achieve success managing up and coming bands, Spokes and Petals on a Wet Black Bough, in addition to creating the Everyone record label.
In her role as Manager for Spokes, Kitty has achieved massive success, securing a distribution deal for the album, People Like People Like You, which is now sold all over the UK, and as far away as Japan. She has also organised for the band to play on one of the main stages at the Big Chill music festival, supporting RZA out of the Wu Tang Clan. They have also planned and completed two successful tours of the UK and are now in discussions and about to sign a recording & publishing deal with one of the top independent record labels.
