New College Durham students present a blast from the past

Ahead of their Gala Theatre performance of ‘Acceptable in the 80’s’, talented students from New College Durham will give shoppers a taste of what’s to come with a lunchtime dance performance and cheese tasting in Durham Market Place on Wednesday 3rd June from 12-1pm.

Spectators can feast their eyes and ears on snippets from the show, and their stomachs on cheese provided by one of the show’s sponsors, Durham Cow Cheese Company.

The event, also sponsored by Varsity, Guitar Loft and Scorpio promises to be an unmissable evening for eighties enthusiasts or those looking for an entertaining night of popular well known songs such as The Police’s ‘Message in a Bottle’, the B52’s Love Shack and Men at Works ‘Land Down Under’.

Acceptable in the 80’s will be hosted at Durham’s Gala Theatre on Monday 8 June at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £4 for Adults and £3 for concessions. Tickets will have a 50% discount offer during the 3rd June event promotion hour between 12-1pm when bought from promotional staff in Durham Market Place.
