Cooking up authentic dishes for college staff and students

Chef Thomas Fiammetta from Virginia, USA, cooked authentic American dishes at New College Durham on Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st October, as part of an international chef exchange.

Thomas is currently the District Executive Chef at the University of Virginia. He has worked professionally in the culinary arts industry for 16 years and is involved with many culinary organisations including the American Culinary Federation, where he received his Certified Executive Chef (CEC) in 2002.

Shaun Warren, Catering Manager at New College Durham said: “We are committed to providing fresh and authentic cuisine and we are delighted to host a top international chef to cook for our college staff and students.”
