Music Management students at New College Durham recently learnt first hand about the music industry from experienced music manager, Chris Bridgett.
Chris Bridgett visited New College Durham to speak to first year Music Management Foundation Degree students about his experiences in the industry. He has worked extensively in the music industry and now works in Manchester for MCR Music.
His visit also provided students with an opportunity to establish links within the music industry. First year Music Management student Phil Bell, a 22 year old from Blackhall, who is also a drummer in a band, said: "I found the industry talk really interesting and I managed to secure some work experience with Chris at his live music concert in Manchester, where I got hands-on stage management experience". 19-year-old Daniel Gordon from Peterlee said: “Chris Bridgett was very enthusiastic and helped motivate my music career interests".
The Foundation Degree in Music Management is an inspiring programme aimed at students who are interested in pursuing a career within the music industry.
