News about global warming and its impact on the environment is everywhere. As a College we take our responsibility to reduce our impact on the environment very seriously and sustainability issues are high on our agenda.

Approved Contractors

Prior to the appointment of contractors for inclusion within the Colleges approved contractors list a pre-qualification questionnaire has to be filled in which asks for details of the contractor’s environmental policies and awareness, quality assurance and sustainability issues.

Contractor Appointments

All building or major service contractors must meet a rigorous range of financial, quality and technical criteria. In addition the College questionnaire also seeks answers on the contractors’ environmental policy or sustainability statement in respect of:

Materials used
Biodegradable products
CFC
Recycling
Waste Management for both hazardous and non-hazardous materials
Energy Conservation
