News about global warming and its impact on the environment is everywhere. As a College we take our responsibility to reduce our impact on the environment very seriously and sustainability issues are high on our agenda.
Utility costs continue to escalate and in order to obtain best value electricity is procured through Energy Quote via an electronic procurement route to obtain lowest costs.
Green electricity supplier renewable energy generation is currently not part of the electricity procurement process due to higher costs.
Current electricity supplier is British Energy, which will remain for another year. Gas utility, procurement is also carried out by Energy Quote but on an annual contract currently with ELF.
The College is currently looking to become a member of the: Energy Consortium for Universities and Colleges to improve Best Value.
