This course will provide you with a basic understanding of the Italian language as you will learn the most useful phrases to get you started.
This is a basic introduction and would be beneficial to those interested in going to Italy on holiday.
This course is designed to further your Italian speaking and listening skills. You will develop and understanding of Italian in everyday contexts.
On completion of the course, you will be able to speak and understand simple Italian, and will have an awareness of Italian culture.
You will learn how to pronounce and articulate common phrases, such as how to introduce yourself; how to ask for a various common snacks; and asking for and understanding directions.

Teaching & assessment
There is no formal examination for this course but you will complete an ongoing assessment through interactive methods of teaching. There will be an emphasis on listening and speaking skills.
If you wish to take your study of the language further, you will be able to continue with the Level 2 course.
