Overview

This short course is for people who want a good grounding in Book Keeping and the production of basic financial statements. You will gain practical skills in areas such as purchase orders, invoices, credit notes, petty cash and VAT as well as the basic principles of double entry book keeping and balancing off accounts.

Aims

Through this programme you will gain a basic understanding of book keeping principals.

This programme will cover:

  • Basic principles of VAT, principles of single entry bookkeeping.
  • Inter-relationship of accounts-the basic principle of double entry bookkeeping
  • Balancing accounts
  • Profit calculation for business making and selling a product, providing a service and renting out property
