Early Years - start of term

Childhood studies is excellent preparation for a wide range of careers working with children and young people in areas such as health, education and social care.

DBS

All students taking part in this course will be required to hold a satisfactory DBS.  Click for some helpful hints to completing your form and a list of ID required for the check.  You will be invited into the college as part of your enrolment to the programme to complete the check.

 Please remember to bring:

  • Exam results and certificates
  • Completed New College Durham workplace agreement form
  • Completed placement agreement for volunteering students
  • Completed employer agreement for employed students (employer normally emails the course leader)
  • Confirmation of student finance
  • Comfirmation of DBS
  • Stationary (1 x folder, paper for note-taking and pens)
