Amy studied beauty therapy at New College Durham after leaving school and was delighted that she could stay here to complete her foundation degree. She is now a Make-up Artist in a salon and is hoping to become self-employed, and eventually own her own salon.

Caitlin joined the Painting and Decorating course as a Choices Plus student.  She has since excelled in her studies and represented the college at the live final of Johnstone’s Young Painter of Year competition 2016.

Kathryn is now studying occupational therapy at York St. John University.  She said she wouldn't have been able to be where she is now without the knowledge she gained from the foundation degree at New College Durham.

Sonja works full time but returned to education five years ago for personal development.  She has studied at New College Durham part-time while working for the NHS.
