Adam Bright Adam progressed to Leeds Beckett University to study interior architecture and design. Elise Smith Elise studied childcare and education at New College Durham and is now working as a Nanny in the French Alps. Dane Wilkinson Dane described his time at New College Durham as life-changing and inspiring. Dane is now studying BA (Hons) Media Production at The University of Sunderland and also volunteers as Vice-Chair of Durham Pride UK. Brett Rutter Brett has progressed through the college from Level 3 Health and Social Care to our social work degree. Sarah Wilson Sarah was offered a place to study at Durham University after New College Durham. She recently graduated from Durham University for the second time, achieving an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Helen Lumley - Creative Media Production Helen progressed to The University of Sunderland to study Broadcast Media Production. Her dissertation, a TV Pilot entitled Community Radio, won the Regional Student Royal Television Society Award 2017 in the Comedy and Entertainment category. Billie Aken-Tyers Billie said the performing arts course at New College Durham was excellent preparation for drama school. She is now living and working in the industry in New York. Jamie Reeves Jamie started at the college studying our Vocational Access programme, and then progressed to Supported Employment. Jamie has gained the skills he needed for work and has now secured employment with his work placement employer. Julie Curry Julie described her experience at New College Durham as interesting, fun and confidence building. Studying the CMI programme has enabled Julie to implement a project at work, which has enabled Durham County Council to make significant cost savings.
