Marc Bartle

Course: Level 3 Music
Previous School: Parkview School

Marc chose to study music at New College Durham after hearing great things about the staff.

He said:

"When I started my course, I knew exactly why the staff had such a good reputation. They did everything they could to help me realise my dream of becoming a professional musician and I will always be incredibly grateful for the help and support they gave me.

"I worked closely with my lecturers to find the best place for me to further my music career after leaving New College Durham.  My music tutor went out of his way to get me into Leeds College of Music, which is the best conservatoire in England, to study for my degree. Since then I have also found a lot of work as a music teacher and I deliver lessons to people from all around the world.

“I flourished so much whilst studying at New College, not only as a musician but also as a person. My confidence went through the roof which was something which has really helped with my career. I will always recommend New College Durham to my music students in the North East.”

After graduating from Leeds College of Music, Marc started working as a freelance music teacher.
