As a painter and decorator you could be working on a variety of jobs, from a suburban house to a large commercial site or public building. No two jobs are the same and the role of a painter and decorator in the construction industry is more involved than simply decorating a room in a house. Depending on your creativity and numeracy skills, your career in the industry could range from a multi skilled painter and decorator, including special effect and wall papering skills; to a sign writer; interior designer; estimator or contracts manager.
