We produced excellent results in the Summer of 2008 with the Sixth Form Centre achieving an overall pass rate at A level of 96%.

Literature, Human Biology, Religious Studies, Geography, History, Law, ICT, Physics, Psychology, Sport and PE, and Sociology. As a result of successful passes 68% of our students went on to join and study at university in the autumn of 2008.
In addition to their academic study, we also give students the chance to take part in extra-curricular activities. There is a huge range of enrichment opportunities in subjects and tutorials as well as in carousels which allow students to choose from a variety of options which are updated on an ongoing basis. This enhances future application prospects.
Outstanding individual achievements included one student who achieved Grade A in Biology and Chemistry and is now studying Medicine at Manchester University and a student who achieved Grade A in English Language and Sociology.
There was a 85% pass rate for AS Level. This is 4% above the general further education weighted average based on completers and comparable with the national average which includes schools. There were 100% pass rates for: Art and Design, Critical Thinking, English Language, Geography, Law, Science for Public Understanding.
