Welcome to our dedicated Sixth Form Centre. We have an excellent reputation for achievement, with a 100% pass rate in 20 subjects in 2010. In 2009, we received 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and this excellent performance resulted in us being awarded the prestigious 'Beacon College' Status by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) in 2010. These achievements are the result of the outstanding teaching of our experienced subject staff, many of whom are also national examiners; the very good pastoral and academic support they provide; and most importantly the commitment and hard work of our students. Our students have gone on to achieve great success and have progressed to higher education, or their chosen career.

With excellent pass rates and results recorded in summer 2010 (99.6% pass rate overall for A levels), state of the art equipment, workshops replicating real life working environments and an adult approach to study, you can be sure of an exciting and comprehensive learning programme.
Taking all this into account, its not surprising that New College Durham was one of only 3 Colleges in the North East, named in the Particularly Successful Schools and Colleges List in 2005.
