At New College Durham we believe there is a course for everyone. We will match applicants to a suitable course by treating everyone as an individual. Our Information and Advice events provide the opportunity to talk face-to-face with lecturers and career advisers, to help students make the right decision about their future. These events take place on the first Tuesday of every month.
In most career areas we have courses available at all levels. If a student successfully completes their course and is capable of studying at the next level, there are plenty of opportunities for progression.
Entry qualifications vary from course to course and qualifications other than GCSEs may be considered, depending on their suitability, for the course you want to apply for. For further information regarding individual entry requirements of courses click here to visit our Course Finder.
Alternatively fact sheets are available from our main reception area at the College.
Changing Course
Making the right choice about what course to do is a difficult decision for some people so of course we understand if a student changes their mind. If a student has applied for a course at the College then decides a different course would be more appropriate they can come and talk to us and discuss what else the College can offer.
