International (Non EU) Students Deposit Payment
As part of the UK Visa and Immigration Service (UKVI) policy educational institutions must be holding a significant deposit from potential student before they can issue any documentation to support a visa application for a full time study programme. In the case of Tier 4 visa application it is suggested that a minimum deposit of 20% of year 1 course fees are held prior to the issuing of a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS).
The policy of New College for all International applicants is therefore;
- Prior to the issue of any documentation that supports the application for entry to a study programme a 20% deposit will be required
- For applications sponsored by a learners home country the college must see a financial guarantee before an unconditional offer letter is given
The minimum deposits required for all international students 2017/2018 entry are:
- Full Time Course* 20% of the cost of year 1 of the programme
- Part Time Course 20% of the cost of the course
*Students who are applying for a Tier 4 visa can only study on a full-time programme
The deposit payment is non-refundable, except where NCD decides to withdraw support of the visa application. If a student’s visa application is unsuccessful a deposit refund will be considered on a case by case basis subject to evidence being provided.
On successful entry onto the study programme all monies deposited will be set against the remaining course fees.
The remaining course fee for the first year of your programme must be paid in full by the end of the third week of the start of your studies. For programme’s lasting more than one year, future course fees must be paid in full at the start of the next academic year
