Advanced Manufacturing Centre

The new Advanced Manufacturing Centre sits inside the college’s Technology block.  Reclaiming space from the college’s commercial kitchen area, the centre is used by all levels of students to respond to the regions need for skilled workers in this area.

The Advanced Manufacturing Centre is accessible from the main ground floor technology corridor, but viewable from the college’s refectory through a glazed wall on the south and east sides, bringing the space to life for the whole college.

The area includes:

  • An advanced manufacturing space that features CAD computers and the relocation of existing CNC machines
  • A pneumatics and hydraulics centre complete with new test rigs and demonstration units
  • The existing CNC machine area contained in the technology block has been converted to a new CAD room giving more teaching space.
