Overview

Improve your English skills in reading, writing, grammar, punctuation, speaking, listening, and spelling. Enrich your life, improve your career prospects and boost your confidence. This short course is designed for mature students (over the age of 19), and on completion you will gain a national recognised City and Guilds qualification, equivalent to GCSE.

Aims

You can choose from a number of sessions, which take place during the day and/or evening. The length of the course is dependent on your skill level and the level you wish to be assessed at. For some this may be 10 weeks, others may take up to 30 weeks. You can work towards the City and Guilds Functional English qualification. This can be studied at different levels: Although classes are scheduled Tuesday day and evening, extra classess may be added if demand increases.

Teaching & assessment

English will be assessed in three parts: speaking and listening, reading, and writing.
