Industry links:

New College Durham has direct links to local and national businesses, and encourages business students to take part in enterprise opportunities.

Previous students have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Young Enterprise competition as it allows them to get a taste of how to set up and run a business. One of our teams attended the area final at Beamish Hall Hotel and were delighted to be crowned the winners of the best business presentation.

Enterprise Day is an opportunity for our business students to gain a wider understanding of enterprise and the world of work. They learn from other people’s experiences, asking questions and making new contacts.

Placement:

You will be expected to attend a work placement of 37 hours. The work placement will directly link to employability sessions and enhance the knowledge and skills needed to completed the course.

You could progress to FdA Business & Management at New College Durham, or a relevant subject at university.
