This qualification is ideal for managers who are able to deliver operational plans, manage projects, lead and manage teams, and support individuals through coaching and mentoring.

Aims

This qualification is ideal for Middle Managers, Operations Managers, Divisional Managers, Store Managers, Heads of Departments or specialist managers. Ideally, those who are able to deliver operational plans, manage projects, lead and manage teams, and support individuals through coaching and mentoring.

This programme will lead to Membership of CMI (MCMI). The qualification can be funded through the apprenticeship and the fee is dependent on whether your employer pays the levy or not.

Modules

You will complete the following units:
  • Principles of Leadership Practice
  • Managing Finance
  • Managing Change
  • Managing Project to achieve Results
  • Conducting a Management Project
  • Managing Stakeholder Relationships
  • Creating and Delivering Operational Plans
  • Principles of Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success.

Delivery

You will work for a minimum of 30 hours per week, plus take part in training for approximately 1 day. The exact working and training hours will be dependent upon the needs of the employer.

Teaching & assessment

Each unit has an assessment which has been designed and written by CMI. The assessments will take on different forms, such as written reports or presentations. They are initially assessed by internal staff, before being moderated externally by CMI at the end of the programme. You will have tutorials with your course tutor, to help you with your assessments. You will be required to carry out 20% off the job training and you will work with you own individual apprenticeship skills coordinator to plan this.

You could progress to a relevant higher level programme, such as the BA (Hons) top-up in Business & Management or degree apprenticeship.

What else?

You will achieve Associate Membership of CMI.

Interview Instructions

Once you have applied online you will be invited into the College to attend an interview with the Curriculum Manager or Programme Lead.

Entry Criteria

Ideally, you will hold Level 2 English and maths but if not these can be completed during the programme. You should be working in a middle managers role or working towards this.
