This programme is part of the Foundation Studies offer and aims to prepare you to progress onto craft programmes.

You will build knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary to prepare you for further study.

Aims

This programme is part of the Foundation Studies offer. The main learning aim is to prepare those who want to follow a career in the trades, but are not yet ready for main stream programmes.

The aim is to build knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary to progress onto craft programmes, which you will have the opportunity to engage with whilst on programme.

Delivery

Day and time of study will be confirmed before the start of your course.

Teaching & assessment

You will have the opportunity to take part in competitions organised by the College, such as the Equality and Diversity competition, painting and decorating competitions, catering competitions, and other competitions that demonstrate the independent skills you have developed.

Maths and English

You will continue to develop maths and English, which may include Functional and/or GCSE depending on prior attainment.
