This course is perfect if you want to develop your computing and IT skills.
Design interactive presentations, create spreadsheets to solve problems and develop digital information using IT.
You will also develop your skills to help you to organise and prioritise your work, and you will study maths and English within the course.
Entry Criteria
- Entry Level 3 English and Maths
- GCSE grade 2 (E-F) or above
- Entry Level 3 Qualification in ICT

Study Aims
This course will introduce you to various computing and IT concepts, as well as how to be organised and personal progression.
The course will cover:
- Interactive presentations
- Information technology systems
Modules Studied
- Being organised - you will develop techniques to help you to organise your work and manage your time and tasks effectively.
- Personal Progression Plan - you will develop the skills and behaviours needed to progress to the next stage in your learning, identifying progression opportunities and creating a plan to enable you to get there.
- Designing an Interactive Presentations - you will develop the skills needed to produce interactive presentations that incorporate media content.
- Creating a Spreadsheet to Solve Problems - you will develop skills to create a spreadsheet that solves problems and displays numeric and non-numeric information by applying suitable tools and techniques.
- Developing Digital Information Using IT- you will design and present information for a specific audience using IT. You will explore design elements and use different types of software to produce engaging information.

This qualification will be assessed through:

Weekly homework will be given to support independent study.

You will receive help to find a work placement position.
