 special charity.\n\n\n\nJoin us for the Dementia Awareness Walk at Beamish
  Museum on Friday 22nd May 2026\, a community event hosted by NCD Universi
 ty Centre and organised by Health &amp\; Social Care degree students.\nTak
 ing place during Dementia Action Week\, the walk has been created to raise
  awareness of dementia\, encourage important conversations\, and support f
 undraising efforts for Alzheimer's Society. This student-led initiative co
 ntinues to build each year\, bringing together the local community in a su
 pportive and inclusive environment.Open to everyone—families\, carers\, fr
 iends\, and even dogs are welcome. The event will be held after hours at B
 eamish and is a unique chance to experience the museum\, once all visitors
  have left.\nSet within the unique surroundings of Beamish Museum\, the wa
 lk offers an accessible and relaxed route suitable for a wide range of abi

 useum\nRefreshments can be purchased from the on-site café\nWater will be 
 available along the route\nAlzheimer’s Society merchandise will be availab
 le at reception\nCollection buckets will be available on the evening. Any
