Durham BID and Filament PR share expertise
Adam Deathe from Durham BID, and Anne-Marie Lacey from Filament PR, visited HE Music students to deliver a workshop. Adam has taken a great interest in the department and Anne-Marie was keen to return to share her industry experience for a third time. The pair visited the College to share their expertise in event management and marketing with our students.
These areas are constantly evolving, therefore, it is vital for students to be exposed to industry insights and current practices for their development. The advice offered during this session will help the students design and deliver several music events throughout the year.
Phil Richardson, Programme Leader, commented: “Our students are benefitting from our links with Durham BID, and are involved in the Live in Durham events held each month in the city. We are delighted that Adam and Anne-Marie were willing to help promote the importance of event management and marketing. They are such an integral part of a professional musician’s toolkit!”
