A-Level students visit Durham University
As part of Welcome Week the Sixth Form students visited Durham University, during which they enjoyed a talk about student life and how to apply to University.
The students not only got to speak to current University undergraduate students, but also visit different University buildings. They also had the opportunity to visit Durham Castle and the Oriental Museum to see the collection of 20th Century and 21st Century prints featuring works by Andy Warhol and Barbara Hepworth.
Garrick Slack, A Level student, said: “This was very useful as I plan to go to University after my A-Levels, it has given me the motivation to study hard to get the best grades that I can.”
Chris Wilkinson, Lead Tutor, said: “It was a great opportunity for students to start thinking about University and show them the fantastic opportunities in the North East.”
A-Levels will enable you to study academic subjects in more depth.
