Barbering students develop new skills
Our barbering learners recently took part in a wet shave workshop in the salon, where they increased their knowledge on one of the main elements in the barbering qualification.
The workshop, which was presented by experienced Barber James, allowed the students to gain up-to-date industrial experience from an external employer whilst developing various shaving techniques.
James demonstrated his skills and also shared his personal knowledge and experience with the students.
Gillian Greenlaw, lecturer, said: The experience was really useful and the learners thoroughly enjoyed it. It is great that the students are able to gain experience and develop employer links with external salons whilst studying at the College.”
The students will also have the opportunity to go out into industry to gain additional experience in the local barbering salons.
