Business as usual for Beamish

HE students from the BA (Hons) Management programme visited Beamish Museum to meet with Simon Woolley, the Manager at Beamish, to find out more about business management of the famous Living Museum of the North.

Beamish tells a story of life in the North East of England from the 1820’s to the 1940’s. The Learners experienced for themselves why Beamish is as popular as it is, exploring the site and enjoying some traditional fish and chips.

Beamish began as the vision of Dr. Frank Atkinson and today it is one of the best open air museums in the world. Beamish continues to expand and have some exciting times ahead.

Jennifer Fullard, Curriculum Manager, said: “As a college, we are proud of all of the partnership work that we do with Beamish Museum. They are an excellent example of a successful local organisation and really help to inform the students’ studies.”
