Durham University visit
Next year our current 1st year A-level students will decide if they want to move into employment or higher education. To help make an informed decision our Sixth Form Centre provides information on both opportunities.
To learn more about higher education and the opportunities available through university our students visited Durham University.
They took part in a study skills taster session, toured the university site and received information, advice and guidance which would help them with their progression onto a higher education course. This was followed by a tour of Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral.
John Richardson, Sixth Form Tutor, said: “The day was a great success, showing the students an example of an excellent higher education institution and the opportunities it can offer.”
The university also provided useful resources for the students to use in their own time, which show progression opportunities available.
A-Levels will enable you to study academic subjects in more depth.
