Empty Shop

Luke Roberts, former FdA Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Design student, exhibited his work at Empty Shop, a creative arts venue in Durham.

This was part of his final project for his degree programme and was based primarily around fine art. He showcased a series of 10 art pieces, based on the top 10 commonly suppressed negative emotions.

The activity allowed Luke to experience how an exhibition is created from start to finish, displaying and discussing his own work for members of the public.

Luke said: “It proved to be a good medium to build confidence when it came to me talking about my own work. It was also a good platform to display work in a real work context.”

The exhibition was very well attended on both days, with extremely positive feedback being received from all visitors.
