Support Services Open Day

Saturday 30 November, 10am - 12noon

Come along to our Support Services Open Day to find out more about the extensive range of support available to students studying at New College Durham. You will have the opportunity to talk to staff, as well as have a look around our fantastic facilities.

We have a wide range of support on offer, which is individually tailored to fit you for when you need it, and can include:

ASC (Advice Support Careers) - provide an impartial and confidential service whether you need careers guidance, advice on student finances, or personal counselling.

Learner Support - dedicated team of Learner Support staff for students with disabilities and/or specific learning difficulties.

Personal Learning Coaches (PLCs) - provide personalised support and guidance to learners in all curriculum areas across the College and studying at any level. 

This event is for students and potential students looking to study our further education or higher education programmes, as well as parents/carers, school staff and careers advisers.

Event details:

10.00 - 11.00am Visit our support services fair, where welcome refreshments and tours around our campus will be available.
10.30am Talk introducing all areas of support available for students. (optional)
11.00am - 12.00noon A series of 10 minute presentations from each area.  Any questions will be answered after the presentation or you may visit the carousel of tables for more information.
