Course: A-Levels (Maths, Geography, Fine Art and Extended Project)
Previous school: Roseberry Sports & Community College
Adam wanted to leave school to allow him to develop as a person, and gain access to additional opportunities. He described New College Durham as welcoming, enticing and an overall positive experience.
“I attended the open-day and was welcomed by such a great atmosphere. I just knew I would enjoy studying there. There was a perfect balance between personal and professional, and I liked how the uniform wasn’t strict so you could embrace being yourself.
“The campus itself was larger than my previous school - the different coloured blocks made navigating easy. The facilities were great too, so modern!
“I received a lot of support throughout my studies at New College Durham. I couldn’t fault any of my tutors, they always knew how to keep me motivated. Also, I would recommend doing the Extended Project as it definitely helped with my writing skills, and looked great on my university application.”
Adam progressed to Leeds Beckett University to study interior architecture and design.
A-Levels will enable you to study academic subjects in more depth.
