Kunyi Ye

Kunyi joined New College Durham to study the A-Level programme to improve his English language skills and to progress to a UK university.

He said:

“I enjoyed the fact that there were so many students from different countries who came to study at New College Durham. The variety of different accents helped me to develop my English language skills. This is something I have found to be very important when I started university.

“The Sixth Form Centre staff were definitely the best thing about my course and the college. They offered additional support, which I found very helpful. The  International Office also helped with my visa application, which was very complicated!

"The facilities were excellent too. The gym was great value for money so I used it a lot!"

Kunyi has progressed to studying an Aerospace Engineering degree at Swansea University and he hopes to work in aircraft maintenance in the future.
