Course: EFL (English as a Foreign Language)
Former EFL student Aysun now works at the Scientific and Technological Council of Turkey Space Technologies Research Institute (TUBITAK UZAY).
She works within business development and studying EFL at New College Durham has helped her to become more confidence and to speak fluently to international participants in her workshops.
“I decided to study at New College Durham as I searched all the EFL courses in Durham and Newcastle, and I also asked my friends, who recommended I studied at New College Durham.
"The teachers were very helpful, very kind and friendly. I learnt a lot about cultural differences and I really enjoyed reading, listening and speaking classes. The teachers were very determined to help us and improve our English so I really enjoyed it.
"I would like to thank all of the EFL staff, head of department and library staff for all their help and encouragement during my time at New College Durham.”
Aysun said that she has improved her English as a result of studying EFL and it is very useful in her current job role.
If English is not your first language then our ESOL courses will help you develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English and also improve your grammar and pronunciation.
