Shannon Crozier

Course Studies: A-Level Applied Science, English Literature and Media
Previous School: Oxclose Community School

New College Durham was recommended to Shannon by her tutor at school, she decided to attend one of the open days and found that the staff and students were extremely welcoming. The high pass rates and the College's reputation were the deciding factor for Shannon. She not only completed her A-Levels but also an Introduction to Counselling course, which was made available to her through the enrichment activities available at the College.

Shannon describes her experience at the College as ‘awesome’, ‘incredible’ and ‘priceless’, she loved the campus, tutors and course content. Shannon said: “The best thing about A-Levels was expanding my knowledge in subjects that sparked my interest, the lessons were creative and allowed me to learn in my own way which gave me a great sense of accomplishment. The tutors made the lessons enjoyable and were always there to support me throughout the two years.”

She thought the campus was amazing, the state-of-the-art Learning Resources Centre essential, and found the College's Costa Coffee and Starbucks helped with those early mornings!

Shannon is currently in her 1st year at Sunderland University, where she is studying English and Creative Writing.
