NCD welcomed students from East Durham College, Bishop Auckland College, Middlesbrough College and Hartlepool College for the North East Inter-College Hair & Beauty Competition.
Students competed in one of the following four heats ran throughout the day; creative media, ladies cutting and re-style, intermediate beauty therapy and editorial 1920s make-up.
Ellie Lowes from NCD impressed in the creative media heat with her fantastic fantasy body art. Ella Breeze from East Durham College took second place.
NCD came out on top in the editorial 1920s make-up and intermediate beauty therapy heats, with Phoebe Quinn and Megan Ellison placing first and second for their stunning make-up looks and Macie Marshall and Kelsey Shutt impressing with their beauty therapist knowledge and skills.
Michelle Foley from East Durham College placed first and Katie Hutchinson from Bishop Auckland College placed second in the ladies cutting and re-style.

“It was great to welcome East Durham and Bishop Auckland College and host our first competition of 2022. Well done to all of the competitors, they were fantastic and showed a high level of skill. We’re so pleased to have some of our own NCD students be recognised for their hard work.”
