Our Computing Foundation Studies students took part in a competition to design promotional materials for New College’s student-ran Café 50.
The group were presented with a design brief to create a leaflet or poster to promote the re-opening of Café 50 before the half-term break.
The judges and course leaders were very impressed by the high standard of entries and found it very difficult to choose a winner.
Course Leaders, Heather Keel and Denise Mason, said:
“It was extremely difficult to choose a winner as all the designs were excellent. We deliberated for a long time and decided the entries by Dane Hall and Matt Rushton were equally as impressive and therefore were awarded as joint first place.”
Dane commented:
“I enjoyed layering the pictures and chose to use warm browns to resemble coffee for the café.”
Matt said:
“I went with a 1950s theme to match the name Café 50. I chose my styling and fonts because I wanted it to be easy to read.”
