6984a9a6870b8Ashgarth Engineering was established in 2017 by Niall Ash and Paul Westgarth who have worked in the Subcontract Engineering sector for 20 years. Ashgarth Engineering started with a single CNC machine and two employees. The company has shown significant growth since the early days.
The company has shown significant growth since the early days. This growth has only been possible by the continued investment that has been made in new machines and the employment of skilled Operators.
In the past six years the company has purchased 13 brand new CNC machines and now employs 25 full time staff, including 5 apprentices at various stages of their four year apprenticeship . Further investment is planned for the near future with skilled jobs being created in order to support the expected growth.
Ashgarth Engineering offers a subcontract engineering service to its customers specialising in the supply of precision machined components across a wide range of sectors. Our machines are capable of producing low volume complex components as well as high volume production runs utilising automation and lights out operation where possible.
With over 30 years experience in Subcontract Engineering we are able to offer our clients a quality product and service with full documentation in a short lead time.
Role: 4 Year training in the manufacture of components as per Engineering drawings, specifications and Ashgarth Engineering policies & procedures, ensuring all components are 100% within required quality standards.
Individual Safety Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
• Adhere to Company’s Health, Safety & Environmental Policy and Safety Management Systems.
Key activities:
• Train to manufacture components accurately to relevant Engineering drawings and specifications on all CNC machines.
• Finishing of machined parts using manual methods to ensure no sharp edges are left.
• Support operators with shop floor organisation activities with tooling, materials and paperwork.
• Check all relevant information on Route Cards to ensure correct drawings, material have been issued prior to manufacture of components.
• Sign off relevant sections of Route Card on completion of machining operation.
• Report any non-conforming components to the QC Department
• Ensure that work area is kept clean, and appropriate safety equipment is worn at all times, and appropriate lifting equipment is used, and assistance is sought when handling heavy objects, thereby ensuring that good safety procedures are followed and good work practices area adopted.
