699ef4f44558bAn exciting opportunity to join County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service as a Business Administration Apprentice within the Service Training Centre. This 18-month Level 3 apprenticeship offers hands-on experience supporting training operations while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS) is seeking to appoint a Business Administration Apprentice to support the Service Training Centre and Driver Training function.
Working within the People and Organisational Development Directorate, the apprentice will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of training operations. Duties will include managing shared inboxes, maintaining accurate training and competency records, producing correspondence and reports, updating IT systems (including Microsoft Office, databases and SharePoint), assisting with course scheduling, and liaising with internal teams and external organisations such as NEAS, Police and Mountain Rescue.
The role includes reception duties, handling confidential information, responding to internal and external enquiries, supporting small projects, and contributing to performance reporting. The apprentice will work in a busy, fast-paced environment and will represent the Service in a professional manner at all times.
This post is based at the Service Training Centre, Bowburn and Spennymoor Fire Station, although flexibility to work at other Service locations may be required.

On-the-job training within the Service Training Centre
