Construction Apprenticeship

Throughout many years of operation, our family business has always stayed true to our values and vision for our people, our local communities, our business partners and the environment to move forward together – this is what we call Development with Care.

The Opportunity:

It is an exciting time to join Banks Homes, part of the respected Banks Group. We are a successful family-owned business celebrating 50 years in 2026. We are a passionate team working across the Northeast and Yorkshire, dedicated to creating thoughtfully designed homes that put people and communities first.

This is your chance to be part of a dynamic team committed to creating sustainable communities and making a positive impact on the environment whilst supporting our growing property development and housebuilding businesses.

What Makes This Opportunity Exciting:

Growth and Impact: Join a company that addresses critical challenges of the UK housing shortage. Your work will directly contribute to developing high-quality and sustainable homes that benefit communities across the UK.

Unique Culture: At Banks Group, we operate under the ethos of 'Development with Care.' This means prioritising the well-being of our people and the environment in all our projects. Our core values include caring for people and the environment, listening to understand, finding solutions together, supporting each other, developing best practices, and honouring commitments.

Clear Development Path: Starting on site as a Trainee Assistant Site Manager, you will gain hands-on experience whilst working towards a Level 3 and/or higher Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor apprenticeship to further develop your skills and knowledge.  Throughout your apprenticeship programme you will engage in on-the-job training, coursework and assessments that will support your development on the path to becoming an exceptional Site Manager.

Trainee Assistant Site Manager Role:

You will be based at our developments throughout the Northeast working alongside assisting and supporting site management.  During your apprenticeship you will be required to gain knowledge and understanding of the successful delivery of the development project. Develop in-depth understanding of health, safety and environmental standards, programme, budget, time, quality, design, technical and customer service.  You will also assist in building quality and sustainable homes for the future that meet the needs of our customers.
