Business Admin Apprenticeship - Assistant Product Planner

Are You Ready to Launch a Career in Product Development? We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Apprentice Product Planner to join our Product Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a Business Admin Apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience in how new products are conceived, tested, and brought to market.

You will be the administrative backbone of our team, providing critical support to the Senior Product Planner and Product Planner to ensure our new products are launched successfully and on time. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in product development processes, supplier communication, and essential business administration.

The Role: What You'll Be Doing

This role is focused on the practical, logistical, and administrative support required for a busy product team:

  • Sample Coordination: Manage the life cycle of all development samples—receiving, logging, tracking, organising the sample library, and preparing them for review by the design and planning teams.
  • Logistics: Take charge of all courier and shipping arrangements for samples and documentation, including preparing necessary paperwork for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Product Testing: Carry out essential, hands-on 'fit-for-purpose' testing on new product samples (e.g., checking components, assembling packaging, usage testing) and reporting findings to the Product Planner.
  • Administrative Support: Manage general office administration for the team, including preparing documents, scheduling meetings, and assisting with accurate data entry into our product systems.
  • Team Support: Work closely with the Senior Product Planner and Product Planner, learning the intricacies of the product development process and supporting their day-to-day tasks.

We Are Looking For:

A genuine interest in starting a career in product development, administration, or a related commercial field.
