Finance Apprentice
To assist the Head of Finance with efficient and effective financial support across the Hospice.
To provide efficient and effective financial administration support across the hospice
To assist with purchase ledger duties.
To assist with general bookkeeping duties including retail sales ledger.
To assist in cash management and bank reconciliations.
To assist with payroll duties.
To support the wider administrative functions across the hospice.
To liaise with staff, volunteers, members of the public regarding hospice related enquiries by telephone, email and face-to face.
Use of various IT systems.
Working flexibly as part of a team.
Organising and supporting various events and meetings etc.
Provide administrative support, if required, across the organisation including Reception duties
Other duties commensurate to role as to the discretion of the Head of Finance.

Training
This role is an apprenticeship where the Hospice will provide on the job training with day release at New College Durham for the successful candidate to achieve a level 2/3 qualification in A A T ( Association of Accounting Technicians).
