Metal Fabricator Apprentice

We are looking for an enthusiastic Metal Fabricator Apprentice to join our Transport Engineering Team on a fixed term basis until September 2030. Supported by experienced mentors, you will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship as a Metal Fabricator through a structured four-year programme with New College Durham.

You will combine college study with hands-on workplace training in Beamish Museum’s engineering facilities, building the knowledge, confidence and technical skills needed for a career in fabrication and heritage engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

This position is partially funded through Henry Smith’s Charity, which has specific eligibility requirements. To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following conditions as set by the funding body:

Be a resident of the City of Durham or immediate vicinity. Please see the attached map with the eligible area circled.

This condition is set by the funding provider. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applications from candidates who do not meet it.
