Overview

You will gain hands-on experience while studying for the following modules; advanced bookkeeping, final accounts preparation, costing, indirect tax, ethics and spreadsheets for accounting.

Aims

This programme aims to provide students with the specialist knowledge and skills required to progress in an accounting or finance role or to enable progression to further study in accounting and finance.

Delivery

You will work for a minimum of 30 hours per week, plus take part in training for approximately 1 day. The exact working and training hours will be dependent upon the needs of the employer.

Teaching & assessment

The course is assessed via computer based assessments which are taken throughout the year, and marked by the AAT. Apprentices undertake an End Point Assessment which includes a synoptic examination, a portfolio and reflective discussion.
