Overview

This qualification is ideal for managers who can take responsibility for people, projects, operations and/or services, to deliver long term organisational success, with the professional recognition of their ability to deliver inpact, behave ethically and demonstrate their commitment to continual learning and development.

This two year programme allows those with a Level 5 qualification in a business and management related subject to 'top-up' to a full degree apprenticeship. For those working in a suitable management role who do not hold a Level 5 management qualification the degree apprenticeship can be studied as an extended four year programme alongside a full BA (Hons) degree in Business and Management.

Higher Education Centre

Our new HE Centre is a dedicated learning and social space especially for our higher education students.

Aims

This qualification is ideal for Head of Department, Senior Manager, Operations Manager, or anyone with significant manager responsibilites. Ideally, managers who can take responsibility for people, projects, operations and/or services, to deliver long term organisational success.

This programme will lead to Membership of CMI (MCMI). The qualification can be funded through the apprenticeship and the fee is dependent on whether your employer pays the levy or not.

Modules

You will study the following areas:
  • Strategic Management
  • Project Management
  • Business Finance
  • Sales & Marketing
  • Digital Business & New Technologies.

Delivery

Day and time of study will be confirmed before the start of your course.

Teaching & assessment

Each unit has an assessment which has been written and validated for the Open University. The assessments will take on different forms, such as written reports or presentations.

You will have tutorials with your course tutor, to help you with your assessments. You will be required to carry out 20% off the job training and you will work with you own individual apprenticeship skills coordinator to plan this.

You could progress to a relevant masters level programme, such as the MA in Senior Leadership Management, or Masters Apprenticeship.
