This course is aimed for people aged 19 years or over.

If you need an 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification then this course is for you.

This City & Guilds Accredited Course is the industry standard for the 18th Edition. It is also the most up to date version of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018+A2:2022 18th Edition Amendment 2).

On successful completion, you will hold an industry-recognised qualification, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. This makes this course ideal for those who work in the electrical industry or any complementary building trades.

Entry Criteria

Although there are no formal entry requirements, this course is aimed at those already in the electrical industry who need to update to the new regulation standards, or those who are fairly new to the industry and haven’t yet studied for a 18th Edition qualification.

You must be 16 years or above.

Modules Studied

You will develop an understanding of the requirements of electrical installation.

Teaching and Assessment

To complete the course you must successfully complete one multiple choice online test. This is an open book assessment and you will be allowed to take in the following permitted reference material:

IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition: BS 7671:2018 Requirements.

There are 60 questions and the pass mark is 60%.

If you take your book into your exam, it can contain the following: 1) Bookmarks (eg blank post-it notes, post-it notes numbered to indicate chapters or corners of pages folded) 2) Highlighting of text.

They cannot include: 1) Sample exam questions, answers or diagrams 2) Any writing in the regulations or accompanying written notes 3) Notes, diagrams or any content that may help you answer exam questions.
