Our Elite teams offer outstanding opportunities for talented footballers who want a career in football.
As a men's or women's Elite team player, you'll get top quality coaching and training with UEFA licensed coaches and play against some of the best youth teams the EFL has to offer.
Elite Team players will:
- Play in the EFL against renowned youth teams.
- Receive official Newcastle United or Spennymoor Town kit to play and train in.
- Take part in 9 hours of dedicated training and match day focus throughout the week with UEFA licensed coaches.
- Weekly matches in the English Football League and National Football Youth League.
- Experience a coaching syllabus that closely follows Newcastle United Academy and Newcastle United Women.
- Have the opportunity to attain a FA Level 1 in Coaching Football Qualification.
- Use state-of-the-art performance and analysis equipment such as the Catapult Sports performance tracking system.
- Play home games at top venues including Consett AFC Belle View Stadium.
- Have access to impressive training facilities at both New College and Consett AFC.
- Get free travel to and from New College to Consett AFC for training and home games.
- Enjoy opportunities for player specific training e.g. goalkeeper training.
- Have the opportunity to play in showcase matches such as friendlies with professional UK club academies and touring foreign academies.
Elite Team Entry Requirements
Players must be enrolled on a full-time course at New College Durham which will be discussed on application.
All players must take part in a trial at our summer training camp.
All players must be age 19 or under.
