Course Overview

This bootcamp will equip you with the key skills and knowledge needed to start a career in the rail industry. You’ll learn about railway health and safety, Personal Track Safety (PTS), and how to safely access and understand railway infrastructure. Training includes site safety management (COSS), manual handling, fire safety awareness, and first aid at work. You'll complete essential external requirements such as the PTS test and medical assessment, as well as Network Rail’s mandatory PTS eLearning. You'll also receive support in securing a rail sponsor and obtaining your Sentinel number, which are necessary to work trackside.

This is a level 3 Skills Bootcamp. 

Highfield Level 1 Award in Health & Safety within a Construction Environment (RQF) 

Entry Requirements

An induction will take place prior to starting the bootcamp.
