Entry Criteria

You will have some experience or a relevant qualification in automotive.

Study Aims

This Level 2 hybrid and electric vehicle qualification is designed for those who work on or near electric vehicles and require the knowledge and skills to correctly and safely isolate and re-energise an electric vehicle.

Modules Studied This electric and hybrid vehicle qualification covers the competence and knowledge to isolate and re-energise an electric vehicle as well as safe working practices and essential knowledge of the hazards associated with electric vehicles.

You will study the following two units:

  • Knowledge of Isolating and Re-energising High Voltage Systems in an Electric Vehicle.
  • Skills in Isolating and Re-energising High Voltage Systems in an Electric Vehicle.

Teaching and Assessment

You must successfully complete the multiple-choice knowledge questions and the practical assessment task to demonstrate your hands-on skills.

You must complete the Knowledge of Isolating and Re-energising High Voltage Systems in an Electric Vehicle unit before completing the online test. You will be required to practice before attempting the Skills in Isolating and Re-energising High Voltage Systems in an Electric Vehicle practical assessment.
