Beamish Memory Walk

We invite you to join us on a very special walk for a very special charity.

Join us for the Dementia Awareness Walk at Beamish Museum on Friday 22nd May 2026, a community event hosted by NCD University Centre and organised by Health & Social Care degree students.

Taking place during Dementia Action Week, the walk has been created to raise awareness of dementia, encourage important conversations, and support fundraising efforts for Alzheimer's Society. This student-led initiative continues to build each year, bringing together the local community in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Open to everyone—families, carers, friends, and even dogs are welcome. The event will be held after hours at Beamish and is a unique chance to experience the museum, once all visitors have left.

Set within the unique surroundings of Beamish Museum, the walk offers an accessible and relaxed route suitable for a wide range of abilities.
